Lynnie - 11 years old - 2013

My favorite part was the play market. There are little carts - just the right size for a 4 year old. All the produce and food you can pretend to buy were filled to make them feel real. There was a pizza shop with an oven, cash register, and tables for you to pretend to make pizza.

Upstairs there is a room where they have really old sewing machine, 2 really old typewriters, old dress up clothes, and a really old dictionary. You Moms, I think you'd like it up there.

There is a big mat where you can clip yourself up to a rope and you have to try and get through all the other ropes and

switch ropes at the corners. I liked that part very much. I even did it twice.

There is also a tall yellow tower with seats on it where you grab the rope and pull yourself up in the seat. That was a really cool part. Belle sat in the seat and I pulled her up. Then, I could let go of the rope and she would go down, down, down. She wanted to do it over and over again!

There was another building that had a whole bunch of puzzles. I think parents would really like this part. After that, there was a big racetrack where you could build your own K'Nex car that you could build and race it with your friends. My brothers really liked this part.

The craft area was really cool. AJ and I made crafts. I made a bookmark with Hello Kitty duct tape. There was also a big, old car you can paint. You get a smock and shoe covers and then you can paint it however you like.

I think you would like to go to do all the really cool crafts. I would definitely go again. This is a museum foSee my siblings' reviewsr all ages.

Children’s Discovery  Museum of the Desert - Palm Springs

I liked the Children's section of the museum. I liked the coloring section where you can draw pictures and I made a paper helicopter following their instructions. They also had a really old fire truck and the front of a broken fighter plane that Belle and I sat in and played with all the controls. They made a wooden plane you could play in. I think the cockpit was real.

There was a cafeteria in there. We got a Snapple.

I think someone my age would want to go to see the B-17. It was a big jet fighter you can go in that I really liked. It still flies and costs $4,000 an hour to keep it in the air! You can ride it if you're willing to pay $600 to ride. You were allowed to go inside it. When you went in, you weren't allowed to go in the turret or up in the cockpit where the pilot sits, but you were able to stand up and look around in it. It looked pretty cool. We went up a ladder to get into it. In the tail they had two extremely huge machine guns. That was awesome!

There are two other areas to the plane museum. Both of them had lots of planes for you to look at. One area had a lot of dioramas. I like dioramas. There was one and when you pushed a button, it told you about a war. WWII I think. There's also an aircraft carrier diorama with little delicate planes and a big boat, and even some other ships and subs. The other area of the museum had some old cars in the front of it by the door, too. All the planes in these areas work. They are flown on a regular basis.

Outside there is the nose of a plane that they found in a scrap yard. They restored it, and you are able to go around and look around in there, and flip the knobs and look at all the stuff. Also out there are two big jets. They are really shiny with a new paint job. They don't work anymore. It takes a lot of money to get them to work again. They have a helicopter they put on shows with out there too.

My favorite thing to do there were the flight simulators. They are computers where you have a handle that you fly the plane with and headphones with a microphone attached. Whenever you talk, you can hear yourself in the headphones.

I thought it was really cool that they recorded all the sound effects for a specific plane in 'Planes' there. I am glad I went to the plane museum because before I went I thought it would not be very interesting. The plane museum was much more interesting and kid friendly than I expected. I would definitely go again sometime.

Aviation Museum - Palm Springs

This museum was pretty boring, there was a little activity center in the back but it was mainly one room with a bunch of 1900-2014 cars.

My favorite part was the activity center in the back.

I don't think a kid my age would like this museum.

I'm definitely not going again.

Automotive Museum -

SAN DIEGO, CA

As you walk in, there is a big set of railway crossing lights you can activate by pressing a button, in the museum as you walk along there are lots of train dioramas.

On the way there are rooms, one of the rooms is a Lego room it is full of lots of Lego  trains, in there is a tv that shows  the history of Lego.

The last room has a very large diorama that I thought was really cool

This ZOO is quite interesting , when we went they had a large aviary full of Australian tropical birds, you can go in if you pay $2.00 per person.

Also they have a carousel that is $2.00 per person to ride.

We went to most of the shows and a few rides.

There are video games along the way.
