Sound Familiar? You had a great “Saturday Family Day” at home planned with nothing to do but sleep in and make breakfast together. Somehow it quickly became filled with to-do lists and laundry. And another day has gone by when the kids just sat in front of the tv alone. Or worse – desperate for your attention, they got under foot and quarrelled with you all day long.
All I can say is “You are not alone”.
One of our biggest reasons we started to actively seek out more time travelling with our kids was because of this phenomenon. The greatest intentions would turn into another tiring day working away at a to-do list that was getting longer faster than we could mark things off of it.
We wanted it to end.
We believe strongly in the family unit. We believe a lot of families filled with the best intentions find life gets in the way of living. The dream family they saw when first looking down in that little crib at their sweet little cherub has been replaced with something much different today.
